Must say i should have bought this instead of the powerless type of adapter.Do not waste your money on the non-battery type. I have nothing bad to say about the RCA VCA115.In a nutshell: If you are thinking about saving money and getting the battery-less type you are in for a surprise. Ok, now on to the good news.
Total junk. I converted about 25 cassettes to DVD and not one time did the RCA adapter fault. I am not lying when i say the powerless adapter lasted 1 playback.
This RCA battery powered adapter is a GEM, i used it in my VHS-C to DVD recorder. They rely on 100% mechanical operation and it makes the tape bind up when trying to deploy it. I was actually worried that it would cause the tape to tear or break.
The single battery (AA i think) lasted easily for 30+ hours or so of playback time and is ready for more. Just spend a little more and save yourself allot of headache and frustration.John
I don't know why I waited so long to order this product. Especially because I would be able to use this handy adapter to watch baby videos of my son. This product is PRICELESS for me.
My Son lost my original vhs adapter that came WITH my vcr so I purchased a replacement.
Didn't work and not worth sending back - I'd spend more money on postage. Got one that worked through Best Buy.
If you've ever needed an adapter to review your old VHS-C tapes on a regular VCR, then this is the one. No worries, no hassles, no problems. When it arrived I put the supplied batteries into it and cranked it up. Worked perfectly. I would like to tell everyone that this is one product that will work the 1st time, and every time after that. Great stuff.
